As part of the English curriculum and our annual Book Week celebrations, we are delighted to welcome author Tanya Landman to Tor Bridge High on Monday 27th February.
Carnegie Medal winning Tanya Landman is the author of more than thirty books for children and young adults and is renowned for her thought-provoking, prize-winning novels. She will be presenting to the whole of year 7 and 8 as well as running a workshop with some students in year 10.
Tanya’s talk will cover her journey to becoming a writer, how she came to write her books and the historical background to some of them. This fantastic event will enthuse our students on the joy of reading and explore how reading for pleasure is so beneficial.
As part of her visit, we are delighted to be able to offer for sale a number of Tanya Landman’s books at discounted prices. Should you wish to purchase one of these books there is an option to pre-order on Parent Pay. In addition, a limited number of books will also be available to purchase at the event. Of course there is no obligation whatsoever to purchase and all of Tanya Landman’s books will be available to borrow from the School Library.
Please visit the School Library page for brief summaries of each available title.
